Pine Rest’s Tobacco Cessation Policy

To promote an environment free of tobacco and exposure to second hand smoke, Pine Rest is implementing a policy effective July 1, 2008 that prohibits the use of all tobacco products on all Pine Rest property and in all service locations. This policy is applicable to all staff, volunteers, students, visitors, patients, and residents and includes the main campus on 68th Street, the leased outpatient clinic locations, and group homes.

Pine Rest’s mission calls for the improving of health through the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. As tobacco use remains one of the most preventable causes of death and disability in our society, its continued use represents a significant obstacle to full health for our patients, residents, and employees. If you have questions about this policy, please contact the Human Resources department by calling 616-455-4290.
